Deoshore
Haig,
Culteral Diversity |
Deoshore Haig has twenty years of experience working with
culturally diverse communities and managing human service programs. As an
independent consultant, Ms. Haig’s services include designing and facilitating
cultural skills, diversity, and competency training, health prevention programs
and technical assistance for organizational development change.
Recently, Ms. Haig participated in a three year project
designed to assess, evaluate, and integrate cultural competence within a public
health institution for improvement of health disparities/outcomes among
minority residents in the state of Rhode
Island.
Ms. Haig received her BA from Potsdam
College and has a Masters in Social
Work from Rhode Island
College. She is a member
of the National Association of Social Workers, a member of the Association of
Black Social Workers, the Association of Death Education and Counseling and a
board member of the National
Center for Death
Education Academic Board. Ms. Haig serves as an advisory board member to New England AIDS Education
Training Center
and volunteers on several other advisory boards within the Providence
Community. Currently she is Special Guest Lecturer at Providence College
in the Social Work Department.
