Implementing Group Practice

This is an introductory workshop that examines the practical implementation issues in creating, facilitating and measuring outcomes for a clinically effective and cost effective group service.  Topics defined clinically are screening, facilitating, phases, terminating, and referral.  Administrative topics covered are needs assessment, population identification, marketing, reimbursement issues if applicable, staffing and physical plant, and common legal and ethical issues.  The goal of the session is to allow participants the opportunity to create a comprehensive outline for group development and facilitation.
This is the first of a two session training.  It is recommended that participants attend both trainings.  Part two will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009, titled "Introduction to Psychology of Group Process".
