The focus of this workshop will be to provide an overview of aggressive and disruptive behavior in school-aged children. We will focus on the scope of the problem and risk factors that contribute to aggressive and disruptive behavior problems. Diagnostic issues will be considered, including situational contexts and differences between early and late starters. Empirically supported treatment approaches will be discussed, including parent guidance, family therapy, school and system-based interventions, as well as combined biological and psychosocial treatments.
