The intention
of this presentation is to illustrate this emerging phenomenon of philanthropy
and organizational vision within the nonprofit sector. There will also be
discussion on how to make the transition to purchasing equity ownership in
profit making entities to support social purposes. Case study videos depicting
international 'social entrepreneurs' ( Graemen Bank with Nobel prize Winner
Mohammad Yunus) ; national social entrepreneurs ( Delancey Street Foundation);
and a New England case study of the Seven Hills Foundation will be part of this
